How does the ballpark play? Any similarities to GABP that could help the pitchers adjust later?

My dad's family settled in Ft. Walton Beach. I got back there a couple times in the past decade, including 2016 when my grandmother passed away. During that trip I got to see the Wahoos in their park. It's as gorgeous as you imagine it to be, and definitely worth the trip.

Destin used to be a lot better before it became a hot destination. I've been going every year for the past 20 years (childhood friend's family owns a beachfront condo there). I always find this time of the year to be the best time to go, kids are back in school and the water is still warm enough to enjoy. You can get super cheap tickets on Allegiant from CVG if you fly at odd times. Though, I actually used to enjoy the 12 hour drive on Friday nights to get there (it's the drive back that was always rough).

The previous picture showed mostly the field and not the stadium. Here's a shot of the stadium. It is a strange design. Almost like they ran out of money and couldn't finish the seats on the third base side.

I'll be at a conference there in November. I'll try to take in a game then.

Last time I was there it was Christmas Eve. I never seem to hit it at the right time of year. I'm thinking about coming back through Chattanooga (same distance as going through Nashville), but that won't do much good in November either. I have to start planning these things better.

It must be strange for Doug to actually be credited for his work.

Oh, Baseball Prospectus certainly tried to give me credit. What they didn't do was pay me for the usage of my photo. Photo credit doesn't pay my bills.
