Peraza also is now tied for third for hits by a Reds SS in a season.

That 2-run HR by Peraza was his 173rd hit of the season, tying Leo Cardenas (1962) for third-most by a Reds shortstop in a season (Larkin, 185 in 1990 & Larkin, 174 in 1988).

Granderson walks to lead off the first. That'll end well.

Who would have thought Peraza would be 2nd on the team in hits and has more HR than Votto. I hope he saves some of his magic beans for next year.

More mistakes cost the Reds a run. Also, if they get guys on, they're going to steal on Lorenzen all night.

Wasted opportunity for runs in the 3rd.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

this season has taught that nobody, and I mean nobody, has any idea what to do with this team's starting rotation going forward, and that nobody, and I mean nobody, knows exactly what Peraza's ceiling really is.

Was just thinking the same thing.

Peraza may still be a diamond in the rough. We just don’t know. He keeps exceeding expectations.
