Reed tonight 8 ground outs, 6 strikeouts in six innings.

    That’ll play.

Lee May's other grandson Jacob (who went to my alma mater Lakota West) is now a FA, as he was released by the White Sox in July.

Trying to insure Reed leaves with high confidence and satisfaction with a 4-0 lead thru 6, and guarding against a quick blow-up in the 7th to ruin his psyche.

Sorry. #33. A good player. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him play college ball.

If I recall correctly, it was after the ‘94 strike was when ballplayers started throwing balls in the stands as a goodwill gesture. Before that, the only time you got a ball was when one was hit in the stands. Rarely did a player chuck a ball to a fan.

I considered that but he was dealing and another inning would boost it more. Then again we are not privy to what's being seen/ said in the dugout, so give the hook the benefit of the doubt.

and our gm just was quoted today about how few innings the Reds starters completed. and yesterday the reds starter lasted through 7 runs two 3 run HRs. makes little sense from my peanut gallery.

I do not get the Reds playing like it is a playoff race. Give some of the young guys starts.

Desperate to show W-L improvement this year. Or at least to show they didn’t get worse.
