Before you criticize someone, you should "walk a mile in their shoes", as the saying goes. That way, when you criticize them, you are a mile away... and you have their shoes.
Has Chris Welsh ever betrayed any desire to manage?
I think I'd trust his judgement more than the suspects they've been running out there these last couple decades.

Chris Welsh? No thanks. The Cowboy? Now we're talkin.

david bell couldn't inspire a mosquito to sting a human on a hot, sweaty day.
I don’t know if Bell is a good or bad manager. But his moves are dizzying, I’ve never seen anything quite like it.
He makes some moves that are clever and give Reds a nice advantage. But the overall impact is a lack of continuity. You just wonder how a team will gell with all this going on.
Most important though is the late inning pen seems lousy so far, gave away a winning game on Saturday, that stings. Today they lost a tight one, happens, but again the pen. Would like Aquino to keep getting ABs.

David Bell didn’t swing one bat or thrown one HR pitch the last two days
When he actually screws up the game then he’s worthy of some smack talk.
But the team on the field peed the bed

Threads like this always slightly feel like they’re breaking the “don’t beat a subject to death” rule. No one has offered one iota of substance to support the rationale for firing Bell.

I am unable to come up with a compelling reason why Raisel Iglesias should be pitching in a non-save situation, in this shortened season.
Not one.
I mean, there's no more evidence needed. There's nothing left to "figure out." Either he can be effective in save situations or he is worthless.
And David Bell puts him in, tie game. Of course.
So yeah... I'd like to see what the Castellini grand-kids might bring to the table.
