Just watched her in a "Love, American Style" a couple days ago.

I always kinda liked her. She was good in anything she did. I watched Laverne and Shirley every week when it was going strong back in the 70's. I didn't realize she had as much success as being a director as she had. RIP Penny Marshall.

Very sad.
Very sad indeed. I don't know the particulars of why she got so huge in recent years but I can see how diabetes got her in the end. I know at my age it's harder to keep the pounds off. My parents and my siblings all have type 2 diabetes. These are the sorts of things that motivate me not to let myself go. Penny looked like Rosemary Clooney there at the end.
