Opening Day 3.28.19 Pirates at Reds

With just over 65 days and 16 plus hours until gametime, I declare myself sick of seeing the last game of 2018 showing up in the game thread header.

Who will get the opening day starter nod?
    Disco- the Reds vet
    Castillo- the future ace?
    Gray- the longterm steady
Wood-the guy to suck up to in hopes he signs an extension
    Roark- why not

    Who will be in CF?

Weather forecast- temps between 25f and 25 C. Some clouds, maybe some sun, rain or snow possible.

This thread makes me happy. I feel optimistic for the first time in years. I would guess Castillo gets the starting nod, but any of them other than Roark would be okay. As for CF, I'm saying Senzel.

Who will be the game MVP?

I'll go with Scooter. He has a flare for early season dramatics.

Gray gets the start after an impressive spring and Kemp has 2 HR...Reds win 6-3! Gray goes 6 2/3...6 hits, 7 k, 1 BB, 2 ER for the win.

How I feel and what i think when I look at that lineup is what fans of other teams must have felt and thought when looking at Reds lineups in recent years.

Pittsburgh has announced Jameson Taillon as their starter for this game.

I will be somewhere in LV holding onto a sizeable Reds ML bet.

GFS now saying dry and 50's at gametime. Lets hold off that incoming system until after the Reds get the win in.

    https://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news...-sale-saturday

CINCINNATI -- Opening Day is almost here.

Tickets for the Cincinnati holiday will go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday (3/16/19) at Great American Ball Park. Tickets will only be available at the ballpark ticket windows while they last.

The Reds' Opening Day game is at 4:10 p.m. on March 28 against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Fans will be able to line up for tickets starting at 9 a.m. Friday. Fans will get wristbands that show their place in line and will be expected to stay at the ballpark until ticket sales begin. Ballpark employees will perform random checks to ensure fans stay on-site and to make sure no one is holding spots for people who are not at the ballpark.

This is the last year Opening Day tickets will be sold at the windows. Going forward, all tickets will be sold through online sweepstakes.

Prices range from $35 to $55. There is a limit of four Opening Day tickets per person.
