I think you'd need a lead up to it There are so many really good players from bygone eras that many folks don't know about. They tend to get short shrift in voting like this. Remember in the late 60's, Edd Roush was voted the greatest all-time Reds player. Of course, he wouldn't be today, but he ought to be in the conversation. The pitchers of the 1940's staffs were very good too, etc.
