I don't see the similarities between this offseason for the Reds and San Diego's 2015 offseason. They haven't taken on any massive contracts or traded any of their top top prospects (I've never been big on Shed Long.)

Agree. The Padres bought high on Derek Norris, Wil Myers, Justin Upton, and Craig Kimbrel in trades. And they gave a mega-contract to James Shields. The Reds have been judicious about allocating future dollars and have not expended much prospect capital thus far.
