Does it really matter what Conley wants?

If you have a losing record at Reds games, please stop going.

Shams: Sources: In Sacramento/Cleveland/Houston three-way deal, Sacramento is trading Iman Shumpert to Houston, Cavs sending Alec Burks and second round pick to Kings, and Brandon Knight and a pick to Cleveland.

A go-to 5 of Porter, LaVine, Dunn, Markkanen and Carter might have some potential.

Wow, it is a lottery protected 2019 First Rounder to Cleveland. That is amazing for Burks.

They've picked up 2 firsts and 6 seconds now in all of these trades.

Should that transpire, the Raptors should go all-in and also nab Marc Gasol. According to reports, the Charlotte offer on the table for Gasol (Biyombo, MKG and a protected #1, which both Charlotte and Memphis are having difficulty coming to agreement on the parameters of the pick protection) is ghastly, IMHO. Toronto, with or without dealing for Conley, should be able to beat the reported Charlotte offer easily.

I also like Denzel Valentine as a Swiss Army Knife sixth-man once he returns next season. Chandler Hutchinson is also interesting, and they're likely to acquire some value for Robin Lopez's expiring.

As for Washington, they're beginning to clear the decks. Portis isn't exactly chopped liver as a pending RFA. But my takeaway from this deal, as well as the deals from Detroit....Both Leonsis and Gores are actually allowing their front offices (not that I'm a fan of Grunfeld's body of work by any means) to work relatively unimpeded. And that's a good sign.

If Kyle Lowry's in motion, shouldn't the Spurs be after him?

In theory, yes. But unless they really believe in Fred Van Fleet and Delon Wright, I suspect Toronto's going to demand a top-flight PG in return.

I can't believe they didn't, at the minimum, acquire a 1st Rd pick for Porter. By the time the contracts are up for the players they got or they have to pay an exhorbitant amount to keep them as RFA's, Wall's contract will still be an albatross around their necks. Washington still isn't looking at reality believing they can be competitive while still under Wall's contract. They can't.

Chicago bamboozled them in this deal. Porter, like Oladipo in Oklahoma, was poorly developed and poorly used in Washington.

Shumpert is a good get for Houston, but they still have the problem of Chris Paul trying to work together with James Harden. That won't go away.

How many Guards does Sacramento need?

Sacramento will miss Shumpert. I don't like this trade for them.

Per Woj, Zach Randolph and Justin Jackson from Sacramento to Dallas for Harrison Barnes.

Wow. Sacramento taking a huge gamble that they can get value out of Harrison Barnes' $25M contract next season. At least they admit Justin Jackson is a bust. Barnes will be better than Jackson...much, much better.

Guess Sacramento moved Shumpert with the intention of bringing in Barnes. Their willingness to take on that salary shows how difficult it is to acquire a Wing that can stretch the floor.

I'm curious who Olshey has his eye on as far as players who are likely to be released.

Washington hung 35 points on the Bucks in the first quarter, and trailed by 15!!

Trivia: If you go by ESPN's Real Plus/Minus, 9 of the top 12 centers are international players, including the top 5. Jokic, Gobert, Vusevic, Embiid, Nurkic, Gasol, Horford, Marjanovic and Pachulia.
