I've been reading over this thread - and thanks for everyone's input - while mulling over my current situation. I have an antenna and I stream. I pay for Netflix and have a Firestick. That's it! And I knew this day was coming (i.e. baseball season), and I had to find a "source" to watch the Reds (LOL). I've experimented with some of the streaming services like SlingTV, DirectvNow, HuluLive, etc., and my wife and I honestly don't watch the channels enough to justify the cost in order for me to get FSO. FS1, STO.
It looks to me like the best and least inexpensive way is MLBTV. Since it's advent years ago I have little to no experience with it. All I ever heard from friends was complaints about the quality, the lapses, etc (LOL). Bu they had you over a barrel because that was the only avenue (legally) to watch games. Take it or leave it.
So I'm assuming a lot of those issues have long been resolved, and it's well worth the investment? I'm recently retired so I'm trying to get all my ducks in order here (LOL). I just ordered me a new TaylorMade driver, getting the clubs ready .... now I gotta get the baseball end taken care of. $112 for a season of baseball watching seems fair to me. I know the concessions are a lot cheaper!
