And of course most IU fans want to know if he can play defense! We need points from the perimeter, geez.

Looks like a tale of 2 halves for the Hoosiers today at The Crossroads.

They weren't locked in at all defensively as a team in the first half. CAM likely tore them a new one at the half. That said, I'm concerned about Brunk's health as we head into the B1G schedule.

It was a few weeks back where I heard Fisch say that we would lucky to have Joey back by the start of the B1G season.

And now, there have been reports on Assembly Call that Brunk will elect to have back surgery, effectively ending his season. And today's loss is/was the second in a row in which 15 minutes or so from Brunk may well have swung both losses IU's way.

Fans can blame the coach, the offense and the inconsistency of the guards all they want, but the loss of Brunk - the only true C on the roster - cannot be overstated in B1G play.

Where is De'Ron Davis when you need him? LOL No viable back-ups for the post/fc is killin' my Hoosiers.

The larger question regarding this season's B1G landscape: Who can't beat whom on any given day/night?

A B1G team could conceivably be 4-1 in conference play and proceed to go 1-4 in their next five games.

That said, PSU doesn't have the same size/rim protection with Mike Watkins gone, so TJD may be due for a strong bounce-back game.

Although he'd be of tremendous help, De'Ron Davis, sadly, was never the same after tearing his ACL. Before that, he was a better player than Brunk - the Butler Bulldog or the IU Hoosier.

It would sure be nice if the NCAA hoops gods would, for once, be kind to this program. It's been at least a decade, starting with the first of Mo Creek's injuries, that the Hoosiers have gone an entire season without a significant player missing a significant amount of games or playing injured (See Langford, Romeo).

Another "tale of 2 halves" tonight. I will take the win. Best game I have seen TJD play. And that Race is something else...gotta love a kid that plays like he does.
