They picked Creighton over Xavier even though Xavier is first in the Big East and won the series in Omaha. Boo!!!!

Personally, I follow the D1 polls, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

It was only three years ago that Oregon State got screwed, finishing 4th in the Pac-12 (or was it 3rd) and they took a team that finished behind them. It motivated them to win it all, falling short by one game two years ago and then winning it last year. Not saying this should happen to Xavier, but it stings if it does.

Xavier has a losing record. A nice RPI due to the tough schedule, but a losing record. Xavier is only getting in if they win the Big East Tournament. I just wanted the projection to have Xavier in as the Big East autobid since they're first in the league. As they gave Creighton a #2 seed, I guess they're projecting as an at-large quality team for now.

UCLA, Stanford and Oregon State are in a 3-way tie for 1st in the PAC-12. UCLA should win easily with 6 games to go. They hold tie-breakers over both Stanford and OSU.

OSU plays three games @ Stanford beginning in 90 minutes, while Stanford travels to Arizona State for three next weekend.

This OSU/Stanford series has their best pitchers for both clubs ready and able (though no Abel for OSU, of course).



So much for pitching....Stanford won the first game tonight 8-5.
