If UC gets one more run here, they dont have to walk Rutschman, either, since walk and HR become basically equally bad.

Congrats to Googs (but not necessarily to the Bearcats generally).
Congratulations to the Bearcats. Cinderella Cincinnati vs "Last Four In" Michigan of 1-0 teams. OSU will have to beat Creighton now, then the loser of Michigan/Cincinnati, then the winner of Michigan/Cincinnati twice,...just to face UCLA in a best 2 out of 3 in order to get to the World Series.
No University in the history of NCAA baseball is better in elimination games than Oregon State. They'll have to call on the ancestors of teams past and get some Pat Casey Wisdom to make this happen. I seriously doubt it will happen, though.

My Hoosiers' season is swirling down the toilet.
It's almost impossible to win a Regional if you lose the first game. You have to win 4 games in two days, and extremely rare is the team that has the pitching depth to do that and have everything bounce right, too. You have to hope for a rainout on Sunday.

I’d say that Illinois State hanging on to beat Louisville would be good for IU’s regional hopes. Have to think it’s going to beat the Redbirds twice than it would be to beat the Cardinals twice in Louisville.
