No surprise that the SEC West has boat-raced the SEC East thus far. Only two east teams with winning conference records. And everyone but Bama is on the plus side in the west.

Your school not only is a juggernaut this yr, they've put together a whale of a program. Kudos

My Doctor (he played for both coaches and I was wearing my OSU 2018 Championship shirt, which he hadn't seen before), told me this morning that OSU's 5-1 loss @ Merlo Field Tuesday was probably a gift as OSU's new Coach came from there and there is a ton of history with him, Portland's new Coach and the UP program. That makes sense as OSU probably started and stayed with all 2nd-Stringers. They wouldn't lose 5-1 with their Starters.

Oregon State's lineup against Portland contained 8 of the same 9 who started their weekend opener at Washington.

Thanks for doing my homework for me. I was too lazy to check. Kudos to UP. OSU is having some issues right now scoring runs. They won their last two games, 1-0 and 4-3, against a not-that-good UW team.

Another Oregon State Pitcher to have Tommy John Surgery.

    https://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/2019/04/oregon-state-ace-kevin-abel-to-have-tommy-john-surgery.html

Abel worked 21 total innings at the CWS and threw 247 pitches during a six-day stretch to close the tournament. He fired a two-hit, 129-pitch shutout in Game 3 of the finals against Arkansas to seal Oregon State’s third national title.

Some members of the national media criticized then-Oregon State head coach Pat Casey for Abel’s CWS pitch count. Abel has repeatedly defended Casey and pitching coach Nate Yeskie when asked about his workload.

“People are going to go after (Casey) and Yeskie and (interim head coach Pat Bailey) and everyone,” Abel said. “There’s no warrantees, there’s no guarantees in this game. It’s just baseball, it happens.”

I would assume so.....they are actually tied for 1st in the MVC right now. But Indiana St. is the cream of the crop in that conference.

The school is what, 5-10% the size of IU? I'd expect the Hoosiers to sweep them.
