Jose Altuve activated for today's game and is batting third. I really thought he needed one more day on the IL.

I think swinging at those pitches would be harder than bunting.

I've found that if I challenge myself in a batting cage with faster and faster pitches, I get to the point where it's very difficult to hit the ball fair but I can much more easily bunt it fair

Jeez the Tigers stink. Had a 7-1 lead over the Pirates and lost 8-7.

Mets fired their pitching coach today and replaced him with 82-year-old Phil Regan. And we thought Danny Darwin was uniquely old for a pitching coach!

Some of Regan's teammates in his rookie year with the Tigers were Jim Bunning, Al Kaline, Eddie Yost, Rocky Colavito, and Norm Cash.

Stanton has played in 5 games and has 2 of the 3 hardest hit balls this season

after being picked off at second to end the Cards-Marlins game last night, pinch-runner Jack Flaherty spent a very long, lonely time on the field.

That’s tough but a big mental blunder that I imagine he won’t do again.

Poor baby. I wonder if any of those Marlins that walked by him said anything? Could have at least gave him a wave or a thumbs up.

if it were possible for me to feel sorry for someone on the Cardinals, I might have felt sorry for him when he's still out there when the grounds crew comes out. However, it just made me laugh.

yea it seemed like he was desperate for sympathy and none of his teammates gave it to him.
The television crews left and about 10 reporters remained in the room. That's when Price took his turn doing the talking.
What followed was a five-minute, 34-second expletive-filled tirade. The final tally was 77 uses of the "F" word or a variant and 11 uses of a vulgar term for feces (two bovine, one equine).

Because I’m sure none of them made any mistakes that game

Of course not, everything about the cardinals organization is perfect.
