“I think I throw the ball as hard as anyone. The ball just doesn't get there as fast.” — Eddie Bane
“We know we're better than this ... but we can't prove it.” — Tony Gwynn
I never understood why he has ever been considered a prospect after he hurt himself.
He's nothing until he proves himself healthy again.
"One problem with people who have no vices is that they're pretty sure to have some annoying virtues."
His stock is down but he is a prospect and he's not "nothing."
I mean over the past year and a half 2 of the most intriguing young pitchers in MLB are Chris Paddack and Walker Buehler. Both had TJ in the minors (or around draft time with Walker).
I'm not saying Greene will turn out like them by name-dropping that pair, but I'm just saying TJ does not remove "prospect" status and reduce a player to "nothing".
