    From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:

According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, the Celtics have engaged the Rockets "pretty seriously" in regards to center Clint Capela.

The Celtics are known for casting a wide net and this is could be just a part of the offseason happenings, but Capela would make sense in Boston if they miss out on Anthony Davis. The Rockets are motivated to do whatever it takes to win a title, which means everyone is available. Kyler also mentions that the Celtics have held talks with Terry Rozier about a new contract, though nothing has been agreed to at this time.
Capela to New Orleans along with a couple lower draft picks and perhaps Jaylen Brown should get New Orleans' attention.

Tyler Herro (22nd pick), Capela, and Brown, Williamson, Holiday, and the scrubs they have-- if healthy-- might be enough to be a playoff team next year-- and have upside beyond.

Would a sign-and-trade Rozier and a draft pick be enough?

Hot take: either the Raptors win the championship tonight or the Warriors win in 7.

    Agreed.

I’ll take it a step further:

If Durant comes back, the Warriors win. That said, it’s the Raptors to lose.

All the local Celtics coverage is leaning toward Boston not being in on AD. The focus has been on whether Rozier gets a shot at starting PG, how many picks they'll move (and for what), and whether they'll make a surprise move. If the Celtics traded for Capella, it likely would be to keep Capella.

Re: NBA 2018-19, Part IV: Pete and Threepeat are sitting on a fence

    From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pelicans "have started to provide potential suitors with the framework of the package" that they are seeking for Anthony Davis.

This includes "multi-team scenarios that would expand the Pelicans' pool of assets in a deal," Woj adds. The Knicks, Nets, Lakers and Clippers are the current teams in talks with New Orleans, while Boston is considering making a run as well. David Griffin, the Pelicans VP of basketball operations, "is pursuing a combination of assets that include an All-Star player, a young player with All-Star potential and two first-round picks." While there still isn't a timetable for a deal, there is a good chance we see some movement before the draft on June 20 -- Griffin has indicated that he prefers the acquisition of 2019 draft picks be completed days prior to June 20 so he can meet and evaluate the prospects.

    From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:

Kevin Durant (calf) is a game-time call for Game 5 vs. Toronto on Monday.

KD went through portions of shootaround before leaving early for treatment. Coach Steve Kerr didn't provide many details on what Durant was able to do at practice on Sunday, but did say that he looked good getting shots up on Monday morning. With Golden State's season on the line and with rumors of unrest going on in the locker room, we'd expect him to play.

    From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:

Michigan guard Charles Matthews tore his ACL during a pre-draft workout with the Boston Celtics on Sunday.

It's just brutal news for one of the top perimeter defenders in the draft. Matthews was a candidate to be drafted in the second round and is ranked #60 on ESPN's latest big board. While there's still an outside chance of Matthews being selected on draft night, it's more likely that he'll have to settle for a two-way contract.

Re: NBA 2018-19, Part IV: Pete and Threepeat are sitting on a fence

    From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:

According to Warriors reporter Monte Poole, Kevin Durant is "expected to be a full go" for Game 5.

Poole cites multiple league sources and it sounded like Durant's status was trending in this direction for the entire weekend. While KD cut his shootaround short for treatment, we have since learned that he got up additional shots on a different practice court away from the media. It will be interesting to see how he fares after a month on the sidelines, and we'll pass along any information regarding limitations/minute restrictions when we know more.

Durant just went down, aggravating his calf injury, and Toronto fans broke out in wild applause. The Raptors deserve to lose this series for that.

    Yeah, not cool.

The Raptor players heard it and waved them down.

Although the Warriors continued to play well after KD left the court.
