"The idea, Bell said, is to put a hitter ahead of leadoff batter Joey Votto when the lineup turns over and create RBI opportunities for the top of the order."

Interesting strategy, but Bell used Peraza.

Everything is perfect, but there is a lot of room for improvement. --- Shunryu Suzuki-roshi

So in some kind of logic I simply don't get Peraza is actually hitting 9th after going through the lineup twice and someone pinch hits and walks? Otherwise he's hitting leadoff? Shoulda just traded back for Billy.. At least he would have offered some defensive prowess and some speed on the basepaths.. On this team he might have been leading with his perpetual .215 BA.. a regular Ted Williams..

from those that didn't see, Votto has some tightness in his back, thus he's out of the lineup

Still want wondering the % of hits by Peraza that fall in front of OF/Behind IF

That hit was fair due to Myers robbing him yesterday...but it doesn’t seem like Peraza has 5 hits a season over an OF that doesn’t go for a HR. I don’t believe he has one this year yet.
