I'm not sure they have a choice if Ross doesn't make a leap this year. Especially if the plan is to take a new QB next year. You don't want to take a rookie and then remove the best target. It'll probably have to bean overpay, but the Bengals are always under the cap anyway.

AJ is one of my favorite Bengals of the last few years (him and Geno) but he is on the back half of his career, has had some injuries lately and if Taylor's offense is going to be a run-heavy offense (plus the possibility of a new QB next year), I am not sure it makes sense to pay big money to AJ.
Of course, they do need some quality players and AJ should be good for another 2-3 (or more) years so re-signing him is not a bad idea, but I think not re-signing him is at least worthy some thought or debate.

Well that sounds promising!

With the St. Louis Blues winning the Stanley Cup last night, the #Bengals move into fourth place on the list of oldest franchises in the 4 major sports without a title.
Texas Rangers -- 1961
Minnesota Vikings -- 1961
Atlanta Falcons -- 1965
Bengals -- 1968

The Vikings are easily the most surprising team there, but it's been a lot longer than 1961 since the Lions won a title.

Jonah Williams to miss entire season

The Bengals have the worst luck of any pro sports franchise. You just can't make this stuff up. They do the right thing and try to address the OL problems get the top OL in the draft who was totally healthy and he gets hurt in mini-camp.

That is wild. Management is piss poor but you can't deny the bad luck they've had on top of it over the years, going back to the start of the franchise.
