Went to bed after the first inning. Expected to open the app this morning to see a sunny Reds.com headline even if they lost (the one from the Giants meltdown loss was about Dietrich’s HRs), did not anticipate a sullen Reds hitter with a Fiers no-hitter headline.

These guys sure struggle with guys throwing slop, huh? Wainwright, Vargas, Fiers, etc.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

The first hit of a game must be a clean hit. If the reds would have managed a real hit later, I bet the official scorer would have gone back and changed it

At some point you need to start looking at Turner Ward....the hitters need to start taking a better approach to their at bats....all or nothing....last year was disappointing, but this year is even more disappointing....wasting great pitching!

My fears realized. Oakland coming home after a disastrous road trip losing 8 of 9. Reds with their all or nothing launch angle swings in a big ballpark. Perfect storm.
