He had a horrendous defensive play in CF last night. Looked like a little leaguer.

I wonder if Taylor was actually on the table for Realmuto and if so, what else they would have wanted with Taylor to get it done. Pretty sure I would rather have Realmuto for two years than Bauer for really one year that matters.

I imagine the Reds were still high on Trammell last off season. Something changed this year though. I'm not saying we gave up on him because Bauer is a nice return, but if he was in 2017 form we don't make the Bauer trade.

I want the Reds to know what they are doing so I can’t help but hope they ID’d something with TT that will not allow him to be a good player and that was what caused them to ship him out.

But on a personal note I have seen and heard nothing but the best about him and his makeup so I wish him the best.

I win and lose either way!

I still like Trammell and wish he were a part of the system but how many 0-4 games can you have in a season and still remain a top-50 prospect?

I think it’s because he was hitting .230 at AA with no power.

    Re: Taylor Trammell

I suspect the primary call on Trammell was that he is not going to be a CF. Once you make that call, he moves into a whole nother universe of comps.

He’s got to be close to setting that record.
And as crazy as it sounds, I actually love Trammel as a person and his make up. He just has a herkey jerky swing where the barrel is in and out of the zone in a “dip” motion. Almost like a V, down then up. That’s a major problem with as quick as his hands are. He’s gotta flatten it out and keep his hands back more.
Still potential but he’s got a ways to go.

    Re: Taylor Trammell

Trammell was staring down another 0-fer tonight, but hit his first HR as a Padres prospect in his 5th AB.

Only his third hit in five games though, with no walks and six strikeouts.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
