It's almost like every player is different or something. Strange concept to grasp.

So what? Every prospect doesn’t follow the same exact path.

My advice is stop micro-analyzing every step of the baking process.

The test will be the finished pie.

He’s broken into a new level this year, a tough level, and it’s ridiculous to trash this guy because he hasn’t dominated by June 1.
Senzel hitting the majors at 23 is more about the reds being cheap and/or incompetent than anything else. He was ready 2 years ago.

I think Alabama is over the top, but I don’t see why he is being killed over this. Trammel is disappointing right now, can’t really see an argument otherwise. His age is irrelevant. He is an elite prospect, he is the right age for his level.

Should he be written off? Absolutely not. Should his results be concerning? Absolutely.

The Reds obviously felt differently about Senzel’s readiness.

I find Trammel’s results this year totally unconcerning.

Why would the Reds start Senzel's clock when they were in rebuilding mode? That's not even counting him being blocked by Suarez and Gennett. They waited until the right time to call him up when they actually had a decent team to put around him, and not pull another Homer Bailey.

No no. You can’t claim rebuilding when you make moves that the Reds did this offseason.

And what did the Reds do that effected the long term status of the club?

I did not intend to make this a Senzel debate thread.

The point I was making was Senzel coming up at 23 instead of 21 or 22 had nothing to do with development.

Just let him go. He's on a roll.

I used the term rebuilding to describe the time before Senzel was called up as in 2017/18 not this season.

To pin that entirely on the Reds isn’t fair. Injuries played a role too.

Because you don’t wait years until you don’t suck any more to call up a player who is ready.
