The good news is the Reds play today. The bad news is it's day game which can mean only one thing. It's a day game.

With the current personnel available, probably the best possible lineup vs. RHP.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

For those of you out of market, this game will be on the MLB Network.

But if they put the Cubs broadcast on, fans will miss out on the dulcet tones, calm demeanor, and cogent analysis of Thom Brennaman.

Wind is supposed to be blowing out today, so I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope for Mr Hyde.

Hoping Senzel can get it going against righties here soon. Hes struggled against them so far. I dont think that's been an issue for him in his career so I'd be surprised if it continued. This line up looks solid and if Votto and Puig can get going at all it would be pretty dang good.

The key to today's game is to pitch carefully to Hendricks. Pitch around him if need be.

    This year in majors...

    BA .188
    OBP .291
    SLG .292
    OPS .583

Last year he hit righties better than lefties so lets hope that starts to even out soon.

I would guess Mr Hyde. Disco struggled mightily against LHH and the Cubs have some good ones. Combined with the wind blowing out to left field, it seems like a dangerous combo.

.313/.383/.651 against LHH for Disco this year.

This would be a perfect opportunity for the use of an opener.

I’m really surprised the Reds haven’t embraced the opener idea yet. They have been open to every other new idea out there, and the opener fits in with their current pitching staff.

So I’ve lost track of the roster. Bowman up Ervin down. Does that leave a 3 man bench of Casals, Peraza, Farmer? And 14 pitchers?
