    Reds should be trying to get Quintana's pitch count up and get to that bullpen as soon as possible.

    Pretty sure that's the goal, but it just didn't seem to work this time around.. Maybe the 3rd will be our inning to send him to the showers.. The good news is we start back at the top of the lineup next time around.

    Yeah, that inning didnt help. Atleast Roark saw some pitches.

    Quintana has fewer pitches in 2 innings than Tanner does in one inning

    I think the difference is Roark is a workhorse innings eater.. He can throw a lot of pitches and keep going..

    He is a workhorse but 20 pitches an inning has him at 100 in 5 innings

    True, but striking out more than half the lineup means throwing a MINIMUM of 3 pitches to each one..
