There may have been other athletes whom I admired as much as I did Bart Starr, but none I admired any more than I did him. Great QB, greater man.

    Re: RIP Bart Starr

As a child, Bart Starr was bigger than Unitas or any other Quarterback. His legend status he played under was bigger than any Quarterback's of the last four decades.

When you saw a kid wearing #14, they were wearing Starr's number.

He's the Arnold Palmer of Football for me.

    Excuse me...#15, not #14.

    Re: RIP Bart Starr

Bart Starr's former teammate and backup QB Zeke Bratkowski passed away on November 11, 2019, age 88. He backed up Starr during the Lombardi era, 1964-68, and famously quarterbacked Green Bay in its 1965 post season Division tiebreaker game against the Colts after Starr was knocked out of the game early; the Packers won 13-10. He and Starr were good friends. R.I.P.

I can remember having this football card of Zeke. I can also remember thinking, "He is really old!"

Sounded like Bratkowski was a good man. He knew his place on those Packer teams and was ready to perform when called upon. RIP Zeke Bratkowski.

In the backyard I was either Bart or Johnny playing QB (LOL).

Did you have the J.C. Penny shirt with their number? I had Starr's.
