In 1982, Dan Driessen led the Reds with 17 HR's in 149 games (606 PA's/516 AB's).
In 1983, Gary Redus led the Reds with 17 HR's in 125 games (531 PA's/453 AB's).
In 1984, Dave Parker led the Reds with 16 HR's is 156 games (655 PA's/607 AB's).
In 2019, Derek Dietrich leads the Reds with 17 HR's in 52 games (140 PA's/118 AB's).

Now I like games like this. Sims was unreal! Where has this guy been? He has to stay and someone in the rotation gets a tired shoulder or stiff groin or something.
Derek Dietrich is unreal too. What a pickup off the trash heap! Seventeen HR's as a basically a part time player! I think he won't be part time any longer. You have to find a place somewhere fro this guy in the lineup.
I think this team is coming around. The hitting is kicking into full gear and the pitching is staying good. If Sims can give them a lift it will be even better. I think they are about ready to have a nice little winning streak that will get them over .500 for the first time this season.
