We can drop the Pirates under .500 with a win today. I want to see that just as much as seeing us get to 3 games under .500. Win today and tomorrow and we tie the Pirates. Hopefully, Senzel counters it by getting a Walk in one of his first three Plate Appearances. You have to give young players the opportunities to fail at what they are inexperienced at in order to gain the experience necessary to become successful at it. You alsonhave to caution against putting them in a failing situation for too long in a row before giving them a break to rework their approach to the situation they are learning.

He gets to think about what he's doing right. For a guy like Votto, that's a good thing. Votto doesn't get "hot" or "cold". For him, it's always technique and strategy.
