Yeah, he wants more lefties towards the top of the order. Dietrich is slugging .673 vs righties-- Puig is slugging .386 vs righties. Long overdue move by Bell and I'm glad he made it. I also wouldn't be opposed to dropping Senzel in the order vs righties as well. Senzel is doing great vs lefties-- .364 with .667 slugging. Vs righties-- .219 and slugging .313.

It's a good strategy. Puig on the dugout steps will allow him to get to Lyles quicker once Dietrich is beaned than if he was on deck.

So all 6 guys who started both games yesterday are starting again today? I guess Bell really wants to win this series. With this heat wave I’m pretty surprised.

This is baseball, not basketball or hockey. It shouldn't be a problem for these guys to play a game the day after a doubleheader.

We can drop the Pirates under .500 with a win today. I want to see that just as much as seeing us get to 3 games under .500. Win today and tomorrow and we tie the Pirates. I'm so glad to see Bell treat the series as a must-win series. By throwing his best pitchers yesterday, he tried his best to get a 2-game jump heading into today.

Hopefully, Senzel counters it by getting a Walk in one of his first three Plate Appearances. You have to give young players the opportunities to fail at what they are inexperienced at in order to gain the experience necessary to become successful at it. You alsonhave to caution against putting them in a failing situation for too long in a row before giving them a break to rework their approach to the situation they are learning.

Joey Votto is sitting with a tight right hamstring today. Felt it during Game 1 of doubleheader yesterday. #Reds

And Votto has a worse batting average than 6 of the Reds in the line-up against the starter for Pitt. The other two, Iglesias has only one AB, and Senzel has not faced him.

No problem, whatsoever. Opportunity for O'Grady if they jump on it.

Yes. If they want to be cautious with it, there's the El Diablo-Hot O'Grady ready.

Me too. Also saw him in the dugout during game 2 with some sort of hand held device rubbing it on his quad just above his knee.
