Some signing amounts confirmed by Jonathan Mayo and MLB:

Rd 4 pick Ivan Johnson - $397.50k; Pick Value: $507.40k
Rd 6 pick Graham Ashcraft - $222.50k; Pick Value: $286.50k
Rd 8 pick Quinn Cotton - $147.50k; Pick Value: $178.60k

Total looks to be about $215k saved in those three picks. Senior signings should help even more.

Re: 2019 Reds Draft Picks Signing Tracker and Chat

#9 TJ Hopkins who said he was reporting to Goodyear Sunday, has Tweeted 'Officially part of the Cincinnati Reds".

#13 Garrett Wolforth, who was a College Senior and expected to sign, has 'Cincinnati Reds Organization' as part of his Bio header. Marked both as signed.

#26 Quincy McAfee 15 minutes ago made a one word post. "Signed". Now, he might have signed to buy a used car at Car Max, but I'm going make a leap of faith and say he signed with Reds.

#5 Pick Evan Kravetz says he is a professional pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds in his LinkedIn Bio. (That's a first for me). He was college senior and expected to sign.

It's only money....If Senior Jake Stevenson (#10) is our sacrificial lamb, and signs for $10K, the Reds would have a financial penalty but would NOT lose a pick.

I would think Kravetz will be signing for way below slot as well

What is the threshold for losing a pick. How much can they go over?
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

    Per Sir Douglas Gray:
After round 10, any pick that signs for $125,000 or less does not count towards the bonus pool. Any amount signed for beyond $125,000 for an individual player beyond the 10th round does count towards the bonus pool.
Teams are allowed to go over their allotment, but there are penalties. If a team spends 0-5% over their allotment they simply pay a 75% tax on the amount they went over by. Beyond that teams begin to lose draft picks AND have to pay a 75% or higher tax. No team has ever gone over the 5% threshold.
Here is a link to a more detailed description of what happens if a team exceeds its draft pool: https://www.twinkietown.com/2013/4/1...s-pool-budgets

Re: 2019 Reds Draft Picks Signing Tracker and Chat

Are there any HS picks between 11-40 that the Reds might go over the $125K slot to try to sign? I'd guess numbers 11,12,48, and 50. Any thoughts?

I'd think one of the Puerto Rican kids could be a possibility. #12 SS Yan Contreras &/or #11 OF Wendall Morrero

Reds.com has Kravetz, Stevenson, Jason Parker, Yassel Pinto, and Tanner Cooper as signing today
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Re: 2019 Reds Draft Picks Signing Tracker and Chat

Doug Gray has pick #9 TJ Hopkins signing for just $17,500 well under the $156,100 slot number, probably expect #10 pick Jake Stevenson to take well below the $146,300 slot number. Think Kravetz will come in well below the #5 slot of $379,000.

Re: 2019 Reds Draft Picks Signing Tracker and Chat

I'll use his number. It surprised me a touch because he turned down more than 100k last year and after signing he was ok with this years number. So I expected more like $75k
