No Suarez today. Going to be a tough one against Scherzer. He's one of the best.

Geno is hitting .077 with 1 HR and 2 RBI in 13 AB’s vs Scherzer.

I guess if you’re gonna give Geno a rest before heading into St. Louis, today is just as good a day as any.

Agree though I guess it’s a “mental” test since they’ve already had a couple of days off this week....having said that I look for VanMeter to do something special today

Max eats RH hitters for lunch, day off tomorrow gives him two days in a row

I had hoped for better from Winker. Seems like another guy that got hot in April and then it's over. I guess the NL has figured him out and he hasn't been able to adjust. Had one HR in early May. Bunches of easy ground balls to the left side. Some of them DP's. See yesterday. Bell is giving him more than enough chances to resume his April form. The bad thing is he is poor defensively and slow.

As for Puig, I know he usually warms up when the weather gets hot, but how long does Bell watch him fail in RBI situations with a K.
These two guys should be on a short leash. Dietrich and Irvin can play the OF. Farmer too.

I dont like sitting Suarez no matter who the pitcher is. Especially with an off day tomorrow. Maybe his hand is sore but otherwise he should be in there. Hopefully the lefty stacking works out though.

Gray pitching defensively....needs to attack the hitters. Tentative.

Could have run the Kentucky derby three times in that at bat.

If Sonny's goal is too put Scherzer to sleep I'd say he has a shot
