Jay has as many HRs as all of Votto, Barnhart, Peraza, and the departed Schebler and Kemp combined.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Senzel with great vision to keep his eye on the ball and make a great catch and to also see Peraza closing and reaching out to make the catch and making a quick, sharp move to avoid a collision after the catch.

I disagree with the commentary that Bruce has finally bought in with keeping his shoulder in and is now more disciplined. He is simply in a patented Jay Bruce Hot Streak™.

Yeah I'm not sure anybody in 2019 is still fooled by those (he had a .283 OBP with Seattle before this trade), but I like Jay.

If the pitch isn't straight, the Reds can't hit it.

I was still in New York when we traded him to the Mets and the media and fans gave it to him with both barrels when he did nothing that August. Definitely will be the same in Philly.

I honestly think that Yankees and Red Sox fans are more forgiving than Mets and Phillies fans.

They are in full shift mode on Winker and throwing him pitches he can pull.

Either he’s got to start driving the ball “over the shift” or start going to left field more. Or both.

I’m pretty confident he will, the question is when.

    Re: 6-8-19

Winker the victim of an erroneously called high strike on a curve ball that would have been a walk, then grounds out to 1B to end an inning in which the lead-off batter got on and then nothing, but nevertheless one of the Reds best chances to score today.
