Scooter will begin his rehab on Monday in Daytona.

Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett will begin a rehab assignment at the High-A level Monday, Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Barring setbacks, Gennett will have as many as 20 days to rehab.

Alex Blandino walked in the first, and eventually scored on a Punisher (Aquino) double.

Keury Mella has posted two scoreless innings.

    1-0 Louisville early.

Ex-Redleg, Patrick Kivlehan, is DH'ing for Buffalo.

Dayton is scoreless as they bat in the top of the 2nd. Jhon De Jesus is the starter for the Dragons.

Pabel Manzanero has singled. Bren Spillane has struck out.

Another diastrous performance by a Louisville Starting Pitcher.

Louisville is being delayed in the 9th, but it will not do the home squad any good as they currently trail 12-2.

Keury Mella gave up 7 runs (3 earned) in less than 3 innings on the mound.
Jesus Reyes and Tristan Archer have met pretty much the same fate. Tristan Archer's ERA now stands at 9.58. His peripherals suggest that he's been even worse. Nice in-season pickup.

Aquino, Blandino and Longhi have each singled and walked.
Refsnyder and Colon have both notched a double.

Dayton gets doubled up by the Loons of Great Lake, ending the first half of their season at 28-42. It's now a Saginaw Bay getaway, as the Dragons are off for the All-Star break until Thursday when Saginaw comes a-calling for four games. Catcher Pabel Manzanero will be the lone Dayton representative. Pabel has walked five times in over 200 at-bats. Apparently, you don't walk out of The Gem City.

Mike Siani threw out a runner at second, and ended up the first half with 7 assists in 60 games played.
Brian Rey doubled to push his OPS to .816. However, he drew just 3 walks in over 100 plate appearances.
    Randy Ventura singled twice.

    Re: 6/16/19 Droppings...

Add Ricky Karcher's name to this list of starters roughed up on Father's Day. It seems to be contagious in the Reds' organization. Karcher allowed 4 runs in 2.2 innings. Fortunately, the Billings relief corps has allowed just one run in 5.1 IP. This has allowed the Mustangs, still looking for their first win of the season, to creep back into a 5-5, heading into the 9th.

Edwin Yon has been the big stick so far today with 2 singles and a double.
Leonardo Seminati has started the season well with a double today, and 5 hits total in the three games that have been played so far.
    Quin Cotton has tripled.

Side note: Billings is playing the Idaho Falls Chukars. What is a Chukar you ask? Good question. A Chukar is an Eurasian Upland gamebird. In other words, the Mustangs are taking on the Partridge Family. And have dropped the first two games of the set.

Chattanooga is playing today as well. The game is just about to get underway. Johendi Jiminian will start for the Lookouts. He currently sports a 3.59 ERA for the team in 12 appearances (6 starts).

Someone who will not start for Chattanooga is Taylor Trammell, who must be nursing some sort of injury. That is supposition on my part, based on the fact that he has now missed the last 3 contests.

Alfredo R. leads the game off for Chattanooga with a single. His OPS is up to .699. He came around to score on a Tyler Stephenson base hit. Lookouts lead 1-0.

They are scooting right along in Montgomery, the Lookouts hold a 2-1 advantage.

    Jiminian with a plus showing: 5.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 3 K.
Ty Boyles got the final 2 outs in the 6th.

Tyler Stephenson has a couple of singles. Lots of guys have 1 hit each.

The bases are loaded with 2 down in the top of the 7th for Stephenson.

There was a chance for Tyler to bust this one open, but he flied out to right. Game heads into the bottom of the 7th with the Lookouts holding a one-run margin.

Aaron Fossas takes control on the mound for 'Nooga.
