I really do agree with Thom and Chris here for once but it's way better for the fans. It's hard to get up and go to a game enough as is without the threat of the game being delayed or getting canceled. Just doesnt make sense to me to not have one.

A lot of cities retractable roofs aren't necessary

Milwaukee did not build a stadium with a roof because of rain. They did it because you never know if you're going to get snow in Wisconsin in April.

I am glad the Reds do not have a retractable roof. I have been to Miller Park; it is a different experience, but it did not feel like a baseball field. It felt like a large arena or airplane hangar, or maybe a warehouse. (And that was with the roof open.)

Milwaukee will have threats of snow early (and maybe later) in the season much more often than Cincinnati will. So, however many games get delayed/postponed a year in Cincinnati does not warrant the cost of building and maintaining the dome.

Houston is actually one of them. That thing is hardly ever open.

Agreed. milwaukee's a good sports town and I guess in that climate a roof makes sense, But it sure doesn't feel like County Stadium. Even the brats don't taste the same.

That was my feeling when I went to Marlins Park. The roof was closed and it felt more like I was in a big TV studio than a ballpark.

So are you saying the Astros should have a fixed roof?

They led off the broadcast saying the Reds are the Astros most frequent opponent historically. This is the 845th meeting between us.

Who is the most frequent opponent for us historically?
