"Astros" makes perfect sense for the club, especially considering the name change took place in the mid-60's during the height of the Space Race, combined with the importance of Houston in the United States space program.

Always makes me think of painted concrete, not Astronauts.

My approach going into this game is to set my expectations very low, then maybe I'll be surprised.

This is a piece of advice from my upcoming book, So, You're a Reds Fan.

Senzel isn't going to see many strikes. He won't strike out.

We won yesterday. That's two in a row. We win today....that's called a winning streak. Then again, we have to beat Verlander.

No!!!!Say it isn't so!!!!!!! The Astros have been in the NL West since 1969........

I could never figure out how they and the Dodgers played each other in the World Series a couple of years ago?

game will not start on time.

I mean, they could start on time, get thru the first inning, have a 2 hour delay that knocks Verlander out of the game, but I guess not.

I can only find one time that Verlander has pitched in GABP. In 2012 he went on 6 allowing 2 runs while striking out 9.

I once got fired for taking a Sunday off to get married.. God only knows what they might have done had my then wife gave birth instead.. Send a bomb to my house? Who knows? The hell of it is they knew about it weeks ahead of time and still fired me. Needless to say I never missed that job. They folded and were forced into bankruptcy.. ...and he's never beaten the Reds nor Marlins.. I think tonight may be different though nobody knows at this point.

DeSclafani has looked good his last two starts, he allowed 1 run on 4 hits and 2 walks over 5.2 innings on Wednesday against the Indians. Keeping the ball in the park his last 2 starts Disco has only given up 3 runs in his last 10.2 innings (2.53 ERA)

Brewers were in the AL for a long time as well.. They just swapped leagues as far as I can tell..

The spots they're using with George Grande are excellent. Bravo, PR

Listening to KMBE radio in Houston they're endlessly whining about the terrible, terrible rain delays and how every team should have to be under a dome.. and BLAH BLAH BLAH... Somehow I just don't envision the personal fortunes of the radio hosts and callers forthcoming to pay for said domes any time soon..

Beats me why they aren't starting. Weather seems ok...
