I think with the juiced ball he can perform as well as Aquino.
I wouldn't take his ability to hit AAA pitchers with a juiced ball as a reflection of his ability to do the same in the bigs, though.
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

He finally got on base with a Walk in his 4th attempt.

I bet he doesn't come close to Aquino numbers...

Didn’t he miss like a year around age 19 or 20 due to Cuba? That’s a huge gap

    That wouldn't surprise me.

That ball down there in AAA, the fact that the southern league depresses power, and the fact that many times there are actually better pitchers at AA than AAA (which is full of high 80's mlb washouts) this move might wake his power up.

Either way, the Reds need to see if he can succeed in AAA, they're already burning his 2nd of 3 option years.

By the way, Siri was 47 for his last 161 (.292 BAVG) in AA prior to the call up (after starting 15 for 69 - .217 BAVG).

Or, as redsof72 said, perhaps the Reds realize that he’s just a AA player, the worse hitting version of Blake Trahan, who himself is a AAAA player, and they don’t want to weaken their AAA affiliate by promoting the 25 year old?

Trahan currently has a .535 OPS in AAA, so if the Reds think he’s a better prospect than Alfredo, what does that say about Alfredo?

Siri is back in AA as of today, much ado about nothing it seems.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Any word on why he was ever promoted?

Probably just needed an outfielder given some injuries and Chattanooga to Gwinnett (where the Bats are playing) is pretty close.

Schebler is back off the IL and just hit a HR for Louisville.

Wow, quick recovery from a reported oblique injury

    Re: Siri promoted to AAA

Siri's first game back in Louisville was a short and odd experience for Jose.

He played defense in the top of the first, while Tejay Antone was giving up 4 runs. In the bottom half of the inning, Siri grounded out. At the top of the second, Joe Mantiply relieved Antone, and Siri was double-switched out. Colon went to first, O'Grady moved out to centerfield, and Siri grabbed some bench.
