Still thinking about adding Narvaez. Wonder what a deal like that would look like. Problem is, I have no idea what Seattle might want in return. So, my inclination is to send them a pile of turds.

They probably wouldn't need too much, or at least they shouldn't since Narvaez has pretty good potential to turn back into a pumpkin.
I've started thinking about Wilson Ramos more, a guy I was really interested in during the offseason, as he's pretty much been himself other than a bad April and the Mets are cheap bastards who are fading fast.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
I don't see anything in his numbers that leads to that conclusion. He's always been an OBP machine, he strikes out at a very reasonable clip, has solid platoon splits, and he's consistently shown pop. I don't think he's going to be much more than he is now, but what he is now isn't bad.

I'd like to see an Anthony Rendon rental. That is assuming he can still play 2b. Not sure how all the playing time would sort out between Suarez, Scooter, Dietrich, but we need another big bat. If he can still play 2b, he could be an extension option.

I think a Narvaez Casali platoon would work get the rest of the year for the Reds. I would love to see it!

I agree washing it is right in the heart of the Wild Card hunt. Plus they keep playing well against Atlanta we'll be right back in the division to

1. Unless you’ve got 7 Mariano Rivera’s in their prime on the roster, you should always be looking to upgrade your bullpen if the cost is appropriate.
2. I, too, would participate in human sacrifice (preferably not as the offering) to get Lindor on the Reds, but it ain’t happening.
3. This team is probably one impact bat away from being incredibly dangerous for the first time in ages. Now isn’t the time to overvalue the kids / hoard prospects.

One option open to Cincinnati might be to deal for a soon-to-be expensive guy via arbitration. Marcus Stroman and Ken Giles from Toronto. David Peralta and Taijuan Walker in Arizona. Trevor Bauer in Cleveland.

trading for stroman could potentially be an outstanding move for the reds. after a poor, injury-riddled season in 2018, he is putting together a very nice season this year. and moving from the al east to the national league would help his numbers for sure imo. yes, we have some teams in this division that can hit really well -- led by the brewers. but i'm sure stroman would take that in a heartbeat over having to face the yankees and red sox quite often. plus getting to face the opposing pitcher instead of a dh who can rake helps the matter.
then again, if wood comes back healthy, one could argue the reds' rotation is more than fine, and the reds should use their resources to upgrade the offense. or bullpen. but especially the offense.
