Chattanooga is having its way with Birmingham early on. They lead 5-2 midway through the 5th.

Jiminian has punched out 5 over those 5 innings, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on five hits. He has yet to walk a batter.

TJ Friedl has doubled and homered (5). Ibandel Isabel has laced a pair of singles. Friedl suffered through a 1 for 36 earlier in the season. But, since then, has compiled a .821 OPS.

Daytona holds on 7-5. Clearwater scored a run in the 9th, and had the tying runs on base. Andy Cox nails down the win.

Alejo Lopez singles three times in the victory. Yari (4) and Clementina (6) went deep. Clementina drove in 4 runs on the day.

Dayton puts 4 on the board in the 4th to cut the deficit in half. They now trail 8-5.

Miles Gordon singled and Jay Schulyer walked to set the wheels in motion. Doubles by Manzanero and Lofstrom score 3. Michael Hernandez singled home the final tally.

Not much else happened in the Chattanooga game as they come away with a 5-2 win.

Jessie Stalling pitched 2 scoreless innings out of the pen. While Ty Boyles notched his first save on the season, getting the final 2 outs.

Friedl, Nay, Isabel and Bell each collected 2 hits. Nay added a walk to his output. Gavin LaValley singled and walked.

Dayton spotted the Lugnuts an 8-run lead which proved to be too much to overcome. The Dragons came close but fell 9-6.

Pitching-wise, Adrian Rodriguez held the Lugnuts scoreless over the final 3 frames, giving the offense a chance.

Miles Gordon singled twice. Jay Schuyler reached base 4 times on a double and 3 walks. Pabel Manzanero whacked a pair of doubles. Morgan Lofstrom upped that to a double and a triple. Michael Hernandez contributed 3 singles to the effort.

Billings is in trouble. Already. They trail 4-2, and Idaho Falls first two runners have reached base in the second.

Justin McGregor is getting taken to the shed so far.

Nate Scantlin singled to lead off the game. Two outs later, Reniel Ozuna singled him home.

Leonardo Seminati (1) blasted a solo shot in the second.

McGregor pitches out of most of the trouble, allowing just 1 run to score in the inning. 5-2 Idaho Falls.

After posting eye-popping numbers (53.2 IP, 28 H, 20 BB, 72 K) down in the DSL last season, Jose Salvador is finding the competition a little tougher here in 2019.

Salvador has given up a run on 4 hits and a walk through 2 frames.

Tyler Callihan has the lone hit - a single - for Greeneville. He was picked off.

I said before the season started (last week) that I was intrigued by this guy. Color me even more intrigued. Idaho Falls is the one team that has minor league TV, so if you have that package and got to the 58 minute mark of the game you can see the Semanti homer. He hit it the opposite way.

The Mustangs trail 10-3 after 5. It looks as if they are going to be 8 games back, just 9 games into the season.

McGregor was tagged for all 10 runs (8 earned) in 3+ innings.

Alberto Gonzalez has shut down Idaho Falls over the last two stanzas.

Ozuna and Cotton have each stroked a single and a double.

Doubles by Cristian Olivo and Carlos Reina has put Greeneville on the board in the 7th. The contest is tied at 1 apiece.

    Tyler Callihan has singled twice.

Jose Salvador settled down nicely and allowed that lone run over 4 innings.

Randy Wynne has chucked two shutout frames. He started off the year with the AZL Reds, but was promoted to Greeneville after just one appearance.

Here is an article on Wynne, who, apparently, was in Indy ball for 4 years. The Reds signed him off the Evansville Otters roster less than one week ago. https://www.14news.com/2019/06/17/wy...ated-baseball/

CORRECTION: Olivo reached first after striking out, and then scored on a double.

NOTE: AJ Bumpass has replaced Olivo in the bottom of the 7th.
