Nick Lodolo works a 1-2-3 first. He hit 95 with his fast ball. Lodolo is scheduled to go 2 innings per the Mustangs' broadcaster.

Cash Case tripled and scored on an error.

    Billings up 1-0 after one.

    Re: 6/25/19 Musings..

Louisville falls for the 6th straight time, 8-3.

Tejay Antone settled down kinda. He gave up 5 runs in the first, and just 1 over his next 5 innings. Still, he was touched up for 12 hits in those 6 innings. He only walked 1 and punched out 6.
Jackson Stephens faced the minimum in his lone inning.
Alaniz was charged with the final 2 runs in 2/3s of an inning.

Scooter Gennett and Scott Schebler both went 0-4, in case anyone is interested.

The Bats collected just five safeties. O'Grady had 2 of them, including a solo shot (16). VanMeter laced a single and a double. Narciso Crook came up with pinch homer (2).

NOTE: Louisville announcer, Nick Curran, was chosen to be in the broadcast booth for the I.L. ASG.

They are up and running out in the desert.

Maiker Manuel surrendered 2 runs in the top of the first.

AZL Reds got one back on a single by Ashton Creal, and a double by Chadwick Tromp.

Nick Lodolo is back out for the second inning. His inning pitched total for TCU this year was 103, so he will have a light schedule this summer down on the farm.

That would make some sense, though I also think there's a fair amount of better hitters not chasing his stuff out of the zone.

Greeneville is through for the evening, 14-6 losers.

Not much to say about the pitching, except that it was awful.

Reyny Reyes led the way with 3 singles.
    AJ Bumpass singled and tripled.
    Carlos Reina walked twice.
Cristian Olivo reached base 3 times via a walk, a hbp and a single.
Allan Cerda with a 3-run blast (1) and a hbp.

    Re: 6/25/19 Musings..

Nick Lodolo gave up 2 weakly-hit singles, struck out a batter and then was lifted as he reached his pitch count. Omar Conoropo came out of the pen and allowed both of those runs (plus one more) to score.

Mustangs are down 3-1 after 2.

Chattanooga was down 7-0 early, but has come storming back. They still trail, but by a score of 8-6 as the game moves into the 9th inning.

West Michigan has inched ahead of Dayton 2-1 with the game in the top of the 8th.

AZL Reds are getting it handed to them. They are on the short end of a 6-1 score in the bottom of the third.

Temperature was 105 at game time. But it's a dry heat.

Wendell Marrero popped out in the first inning, and then was replaced by Fidel Castro at the top of the second. Odd.

Elvis Peralta is AZL Athletics-Gold shortstop. He led off the top of the third with a bomb. Yes, Elvis has left the building.

    Re: 6/25/19 Musings..

    Chattanooga's rally falls short, 8-6.

Ryan Nutof worked 2 shutout frames.
Wyatt Strahan did him 1out better, 2.1 shutout frames. Strahan was getting lit up big-time to start the season, but is quickly turning that around. Here are his numbers over his last 5 appearances: 9.1 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 9 K. Good for Wyatt.

Mitch Nay was the man at the dish for the Lookouts. He singled and blasted a pair of 2-run shots (7/8). Nay is now OPSing .894.
Lots of hitters had a lone safety, but not enough.

ASL Reds struck back for 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd, and trail now just 6-4. Chadwick Tromp singled in a run. Debby Santana is 2-2, and is not hitting an even .400.

Daytona romps by a 9-3 score.

Mac Sceroler worked 6 innings. He gave up 2 earned runs, walked 1 and struck out 7.
Dauri Moreta added 2 scoreless innings.

Bruce Yari had 2 singles and a home run (5).
Andy Sugilio singled and walked. He also threw out a runner at third.
    Alejo Lopez got plunked twice.
    Jonathan India doubled and walked.
Jose Garcia homered (4) and walked.
Drew Mount singled twice (but got caught stealing twice).
    Lorenzo Cedrola singled and walked.
