    Reds @ Angels 6-25-19

Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. -- Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot)

I’m not a huge fan of trying to steal bases now days but they should be able to run on Lucroy even with a lefty on the mound

Is it unusual to schedule a 2 game trip on the west coast? I know these are inter-league games but it seems like the MLB schedule usually has at least 2 stops on a west coast trip.

Yes, the Reds have a pretty weird schedule this year. Including two Friday off-days and two home games in Mexico

I like the personnel in the lineup, though I would make some slight adjustments to the batting order:

    Senzel cf
    J. Iglesias ss
    Votto dh
    Suarez 3b
    Puig rf
    Ervin lf
    Casali c
    Farmer 1b
    Peraza 2b
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

Not a fan of Ervin at this point. He needs to get on base tonight. Farmer in the 9-hole looks appealing though.

Let's pretend: If Scooter was activated today, how would he fit in this lineup? Benched because he's lefty? DH instead of Votto? 2nd base instead of Peraza? He had a .774 OPS last year against lefties.

probably starts at 2B and Peraza would move to LF
The television crews left and about 10 reporters remained in the room. That's when Price took his turn doing the talking.
What followed was a five-minute, 34-second expletive-filled tirade. The final tally was 77 uses of the "F" word or a variant and 11 uses of a vulgar term for feces (two bovine, one equine).

auspicious start as Heaney K's Senzel on 3 pitches
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

There are too many red uniforms in MLB.

    Nice whack there, Votto.
