Louisville lost their 7th straight last night by a score of 13-0, thereby clinching the worst month of June in team history. The starter has yet to be determined - not that it matters all that much. Here is the Louisville starting rotation right now: Sims (4.64), Mella (5.33), Gutierrez (6.87), Antone (7.94) and Markey (9.97). Take your pick. Sims hasn't pitched since the 20th, so let's go with him. When you read that did you get a little feeling of deja vu? Reads much like the Reds' starting rotation for a couple of seasons there.

It's Thirsty Thursday, and I suppose that's the best way to make it through a Bats' game these days. Where have you gone, Brandon Larson, a city turns its lonely eyes to you?

Chattanooga lost its third straight, 9-8. They pulled to within 1 run in the 9th, and had 2 runners aboard, but couldn't complete the walk-off. Surprisingly, Packy Naughton got cuffed around last night, just the second time in 16 in which he allowed more than 3 earned runs. Chattanooga has not determined its starter yet either.

Ibandel Isabel crested the 100-strikeout mark last night. But when he hits the ball, it stays hit. His career BABIP is .380. The third baseman isn't playing in on Isabel, that much we know.

    Calten Daal .310/.340./.360/.700
    Alfredo Rodriguez .306/.344/.360./.703

    Thirsty Thursday.

Daytona has won 3 in a row. Nice. They have pulled to within 1 game of the top spot in their division. Jared Solomon, recently called up to the Tortugas, will be making just his 4th start for the team. He has been successful in his first 3 starts: 17 Ks in 14.2 innings. Solomon has not been taken deep in 56.2 innings of work in 2019. That is nearly a miracle these days.

Alejo Lopez is heating up with the bat again, 7 for his last 12. Lopez is just a tick shy of being a career .300 minor league stick at .299.

Hendrik Clementina's batting eye has left him. Last season for Dayton he walked 8.0 percent of the time. So far in 2019, that walk rate has dropped to 3.9 percent. Since coming over to the Reds' organization in 2017, Hendrik has attempted one steal. He was successful.

Daytona is also running with the promotional pack: Thirsty Thursday.

3-game streaks must be in vogue. Dayton has one as well, only they are streaking in the wrong direction. James Marinan (4.89) will try to bring that streak to a halt. Marinan has not given up more than 3 earned runs in any of his last 7 starts. Conversely, he hasn't made it out of the 5th inning in 4 of those. Marinan's strikeouts are way down this season - 44 Ks in 70.0 IP.

Alexis Diaz is leading the club in strikeouts with 61 of them in 42.2 innings (12.9-K/9). The rest of his numbers are not so gaudy.

Michael Siani has really turned his season around. On May 22, he stumbling around with a .531 OPS. Since that date, he has OPSd .848.

Billings clinched their first series win of the season, while upping their record to 3-9. Ricky Karcher (8.53) goes for the Mustangs. If you are looking for something to hang your hat on; Karcher has fanned 11 batters in just 6.1 innings. Karcher was born in Saline, Michigan; so odds are he will figure out a solution to his early-season problems.

Cash Case has gone 5 for 10 over his last 2 contests, after opening the season 1 for 25. He cracked his first home run of the season last night.

Grande Leo Seminati has hit in all but 1 of his 11 games played in 2019. His line: .366/.426/.537/.963.

Reniel Ozuna has 6 outfield assists in 8 games.

If you up in Big Sky country, get on down to Dehner Park to night to see the inimitable Birdzerk!!! Family fun is on tap.

Superior pitching led to a 6-2 win for Greeneville on Wednesday. Tyler Garbee stood out among the standouts. If that makes any sense. Garbee pitched 3 shutout frames, and for the year his numbers look like this: 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 7 K. Garbee pitched for the Mercyhurst Lakers in 2019. On the season, Garbee was 8-3 for the Lakers with an ERA of 3.08. He appeared in 17 games, starting 11, and had 109 strikeouts in just 73 innings of work. Opponents had a batting average of just .169 against him. He throws all four pitches: fastball, curveball, changeup and slider. Today's starter has yet to be determined.

Hot bats for Greeneville include: Cristian Olivo (1.060), Justin Gomez (1.078), Carlos Reina (1.075) and AJ Bumpass (1.012).

    Thirsty Thursday.

AZL Reds - Help Wanted - Pitching (No experience necessary). This team's pitching staff is hurting. They have given up double-digit runs in 5 of the 8 games. Their lowest run total of the season is 5. Team ERA - 10.32. Team WHIP - 2.24. BB/9 - 6.4. H/9 - 13.8. STOP! MAKE IT STOP! They are being outscored by 5 runs per contest - 11.75/6.75.

Last year's AZL Reds finished 13-42. If they don't find some pitching, 2019 might just give that a run.

The DSL Reds are 3 innings into their today's game. It's not going so very well. Starter, Martin Salazar, has given up 4 runs on 5 hits (although 2 were unearned).

The lineup has gone 9 up and 9 down.

    4-0 Bad Guys.

    Re: 6/27/19 Da Shizzle

DSL Reds rally to score 6 straight times, and take a 6-4 lead. They then gave up a pair in the bottom of the 7th. It is tied at 6-all in the 8th.
