Colon's bid for baseball immortality, or at least a cycle, comes to an deflating end on a swing and a miss.

Quin Cotton racked up 4 hits last night. He may have just been warming up. Cotton has come to bat in each of the first two innings for the Mustangs, and has hit safely in each of them. His average is up to .382.

Louisville skunked Columbus 7-0. That makes 5 wins in their last 6.

As noted before, Lucas Sims was thoroughly dominating, 7 innings of 1-hit ball to go along with setting 11 down on strikes.
Eric Stout finished up with 2 scoreless frames.

Narciso Crook contributed 3 singles out of the leadoff spot.
Christian Colon singled, doubled and homered (6).
Brian O'Grady with a solo shot, his 21st on the year.
Nick Longhi doubled and walked twice. That makes 6 walks over his last 4 games.

Greeneville fell behind 5-0, came back hard, but could not get the equalizer. They come up short 8-7.

Anthony Zimmerman went a scoreless inning. The rest of the pitching was not worth mentioning.

Ivan Johnson laced 2 singles and stole base number 2.
Tyler Callihan hit his first home run as a professional, and added a pair of singles.
Allan Cerda singled, homered (5) and walked.
    Carlos Reina walked 3 times.
Garrett Wolforth chipped in with 3 singles.

Dayton went meekly after their 2-run outburst, and the final score remained 4-2.

Connor Curlis was charged with all 4 runs over his 5-inning stint.
Eduardo Salazar was unscored upon in his 3 innings to give the team a chance, but the offense couldn't respond.

    Juan Martinez singled and walked.
    Bren Spillane walked twice.

Billings has gone to sleep after their 2-run outburst in the first. They trail 6-2.

Justin McGregor with a mixed bag. He gave up 3 runs on 8 hits. But he struck out 8, without walking a batter. All of this in 5.1 innings.

Billings started off hot, and then cooled off big-time. They go down 6-3.

We will just stick with the good here. Mustangs' pitchers struck out 13, and did not walk a batter.
Jake Stevenson retired all 4 of the batters that he faced, 3 went down swinging.

Billings got 7 hits total, 4 of them came in the first inning.

    Quin Cotton singled and double.
Leonardo Seminati doubled and homered (3).

The night seemed promising at one point in the evening. But eventually devolved into a 2-5 performance.
