    Connor Bennett

Connor Bennett was promoted today from Dayton to Daytona. He's a 2015 34th round pick out of high school. Seems to have figured something out.

I don't usually make threads like this but I'm intrigued, given these numbers this year:

Does that say 63K's in 39 2/3 IP?

Because how did I not know this?

5ft 9. He would be a crowd favorite if he ever made it.

He struck out 62 in 39 IP two years ago as well.

The Reds gave him a ton of money (6th round value) not to go to WVU.

I don't really start paying much attention to relief prospects until they do something in AA, but those are some eye catching strikeout rates, and as Kinsm points out they clearly liked him enough to buy out his WVU commit. He might just be something, hopefully his elbow holds up.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
