The award didn't exist back then, but I have to believe that had the Cy Young Award been around in 1939, Bucky Walters would have won it.

Also, Tom Seaver should have won it in 1981.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

I remember Cueto was in the running a few years ago. Really hoping Castillo can make a push...so much has to go right and its extra tough in this ballpark. No Cy Youngs for this org has always bothered me.

Aaron Harang finished 2nd a couple years in a row and might have reached the pinnacle had Dusty not tossed our ace into an 18 inning game.

He finished 4th one time, I don’t think he was ever a real threat to challenge for the Cy Young

Danny Jackson picked the wrong year to be awesome.

The next Red to have 15 complete games and 6 shutouts in a season will be ______?

(Never. I'm going with never. And I plan on going the Buck Rogers route and being around in the 25th century.)

You're right. I could swear I remember seeing he had finished 2nd for the 2nd year in a row, where I got that from, I'll never know.

I seem to remember he was the first pitcher to ever lead the league in Wins and K's and not win the Cy Young Award.

Yep, happened in 2006. Harang didn't even get votes that season. He finished 4th in CY voting the next season.
