7/14/2019 - Bastille Day Minor League talk

AAA - Louisville - Guttirrez (7.04 ERA) starting
AA - Chattanooga - Getting ready to play 2 double headers in 2 days. Weather now looks ok in Biloxi. No starters announced
High A - Daytona - Wandy Bautista (ERA 4.14) starting
Low A - Dayton - Ricky Salinas (ERA 3.59) starting
Rookie Billings - Orlando Rodriquez (0.00 ERA) starting. He's the UDFA signed out of Indy Leagues. His first start was 5 innings of shutout 2 hit ball. Is it too much to ask to have found a diamond in the rough?
Rookie Greeneville - JC Keys (3.77 ERA) starting
    Rookie - Az - TBD
Bud Selig: "I'm the worst commissioner ever"
    Rob Manfred: "Hold my beer"

Chattanooga/ Biloxi game(s) already cancelled. Mother Nature, global warming, and Tropical Storm Barry say hello.

Louisville is playing an early one. Well, I say playing, but, really, they're just going through the motions. Its 7 - 1, Mud Hens. Gutierrez was his usual AAA self-- bad. Only O'Grady-- two hits and a runner thrown out at 3B-- has woken up enough to actually, y'know, play. Perhaps tomorrow.

Ricky Salinas gave up five in the first, then settled down to give up one more in 4.1. Ick. Dragons trail 6 - 2. Siani has two hits, and Dayton is threatening. Bases loaded with no outs in the bottom of the fifth.

    Greeneville just warming up.

    Everyone else is later on.

Louisville loses, 9 - 4. The Original OG hit his 25th homer. That was good.

Greeneville is up 1 - 0 in the 5th. Andy Fisher, a soft-tossing 23-year-old southpaw from The University of Illinois, has a 0.47 ERA so far in his young professional career. That, friends and neighbors, is getting it done. Nearly 20 IP, 12 H, 1 ER. 27 K. 3 BB.
