Here's the thing: His connections to the city of Cincinnati and his family were reasons for his hiring. That kind of thinking is not going to yield the best candidate. That's how our GM/Present or whatever his title is now was hired. This is how the football team just a couple blocks west of them operate and they struggle to succeed on the field.

I do see a drop in talent next yr because the farm system continues to fail us. David Bell is not good, but since we're not going to win anything no matter who's manager, let's let him gain experience and see how next yr shakes out

I think that Castillo, Raork and Gray deserve more credit for the team ERA than the pitching coach.. Unless one of those three gave credit to the pitching coach.,.
