This team is fun. Even if they tank later on, I've had more fun watching this year since the last year before Price. I now look forward to games. A little better start and they would be at the top of the Central. 54-58, 6.5 out, 5 behind in the WC and play the Cubs for four at home. Wow.

I keep saying this, but the fact that we're still talking about this season and not already talking about what needs to be done for next season, is very fun.

This reminds me of the 2006 Phillies. They were sellers at the deadline, 11 games under .500, unloaded a bunch of big names, and then went on a big run and finished with 85 wins. One of those big names they traded was David Bell.

Reds are now 6.5 games back in the NL Central.
4.5 back from the 2nd wildcard.

    Sweep!

That was a nice two game sweep. Good come behind win after getting down very early. Also good to see Barnhart hitting. That would an added boost if he can continue.
Reds are now 6.5 ahead of the Pirates. So last place is getting further further in the rear view mirror. Only three behind the Brewers for third.

This four game series with the Cubs will be a good measuring stick to see how much this team has really came along. Hoping for a sweep but I will be satisfied with a split.
