I suspect he will be back under center for the Colts in 2021.

If he is, it will be for another team.

Kinda harsh since he played the last few years injured!. The Colts have horribly mismanaged 2 of the games elite QBs. I have been a huge Colts fan since I was little, the last day I have looked back over the years and realized the Colts have been horribly ran!

Indianapolis has had Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck this entire century. Sounds like a bunch of spoiled kids.

How could you have misread such a short post? Do you do this just because you want me to reply or are you really that short on gray matter?

Nowhere did I mention winning a Super Bowl. I merely mentioned Super Bowl. Dan Marino made it to one. Also part of the equation, a big part although you opted to ignore it, is that he only played in 86 games. Marino played in 242. Why do you choose to ignore that fact when responding to my post?

He lived up to the hype when he played, no question about that...but unless he plays more, he was not what he was supposed to be when the Colts drafted him. They expected more than 6 yrs out of him

Injuries in the NFL are harsh. Ki Jana Carter didn't live up to the hype either. I think you and other Colt fans are having a hard time with this concept of not living up to the hype. My saying that in no way means that he dogged it or that he was to blame in any way. Regardless of who's to blame, these weren't the results we all expected.

You bring up a good point on the blame from the Colts' standpoint. Their lack of protecting him properly, arguably led to this day coming. This should be a lesson for other teams who are lucky enough to acquire a franchise QB: you better protect your prize

It was fans who put that type of hype on players. Draft analyst, from what I remember anyway, touted him as a once in a generational player who had a chance to break records and win SB's. As others have said, this was the first year that the Colts had a real shot at winning it all. The Colts have had terrible leadership in the front office forever. They tried winning games the sexy way, with offense, by building a team that just outscores teams. Rarely does that style win. They won a SB when the defense stepped up in the playoffs and played really good. I would say the only hype he didn't live up to was that of the fans, because on the field he was 1 of the best.

By the way, the Colts have wasted 2 once in a generation QB's by failing to protect them. They don't deserve another 1 for quite some time...neither do a chunk of the spoiled fans. Let them go back to drafting the likes of Steve Emptman, see how they like that. That's hard for me to say as a Colts fan, but needs to happen!!!

Its funny because I think Indy has been a pretty poorly run organization over the years. They had two terrible seasons over the past 20 years ago were rewarded with generational QB's.

I have always been kind of jealous about it because the Bengals were bad for a decade and never had anything fall into their lap. Look at the Browns, they have been bad for two decades and are littered with QB misses. The Colts have two bad seasons in over 20 years, and get handed a golden ticket. The only other franchise that has had a seamless transition from one QB to another is Green Bay? I would argue that GB was more SF in the Montana/Young era than the Colts but I digress.

Maybe the Colts could trade for RG3.

    Too soon?

I actually think Jacoby Brissett will do surprisingly well. He's no Jeff Driskell

Interesting that the Bengals and their pass rushers played a role in Luck's decision:

Luck mulled his future after a Week 1 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last season, suggesting that the hits he took in that game left him feeling the soreness one might encounter after a car accident.
