Nick Senzel has been scratched from starting lineup with sore elbow. Ervin will move to CF and leadoff. Peraza will move to LF and Galvis will play 2B

Looking forward to watching Trevor “somewhere between an ace and a cuttable pitcher” Bauer tonight.

Godspeed Trevor, you control the direction of Redszone over the next 24 hours.

He adds Galvis to the line up, which is fine . But WTF, please explain moving Peraza up to 5th to protect Aquino? Ervin or Galvis makes far more sense hitting 5th, guess Aquino will be pretty much pitched around every at bat tonight seeing nothing close to the strike zone . Peraza should be hitting 7th or 8th, hell even lead off before you bat him 5th. Bell's lineup makes absolutely no sense.

    Ervin is leading off.

Peraza is hitting .500 vs Lauer. (small sample size)

How many at bat 5 or 10 vs Lauer? The entire point is you make the Padres pitch to Aquino batting Peraza behind him makes a walk with anyone on to fAce Peraza a far better option

Definitely a classic "all the backups score 15 runs" lineup tonight.

LOL, I said it was a SSS.
    He's actually hitting .500 vs Lauer 4 for 8.
I'm not defending it just offering a possible explanation

Well 4 of 8 makes more sense batting lead off , get him every at bat you can. Yes, that was sarcasm, still doesn't warrant batting him as Aquino's protector in the line up

I think playing Farmer against a LHP makes sense in a vacuum but even if the odds are long of it happening I don't know that those 2, maybe 3 ABs for Farmer against Lauer is worth the risk of having Brian O'Grady catching or something like that.
Not sure in my 35 years of watching and 25 of those years really watching around the league that I can name a time that both catchers were injured and the 3rd guy had to go in. Maybe once or twice. We let Peraza and Farmer pitch in crazy situations...why couldn’t VanMeter or Ervin or Peraza catch in a pinch? It’s never ideal but it’s such an incredibly low low risk of happening.

Senzel out of game with sore elbow from being hit by pitch yesterday. Oops. Missed the earlier post.

So as my post is not totally useless....... Dietrich is rehabbing in Louisville tonight.
