And Scott Moss had 2 starts at AA with 0.00 ERA and has been promoted to AAA for Cleveland.

1/4 the way to Joltin’ Joe!
He’s right about that though lol. If they play all the left handed hitters like they’re platoon guys without ever giving them a chance to develop against LHP, it becomes kind of a self fulfilling prophecy. Bell did it with Winker and now he’s doing it with Vanmeter. I’m generally positive about Bell these days, but his overactive tinkering based on handedness is pretty dumb and his biggest weakness as a manager, IMO.

Vision isn’t always great early on there.

To me it looked like his swing was either a bit longer or he was swinging harder, which can slightly slow you down.

He made Suarez and Aquino look not great too

Maybe those complaining about Peraza are upset it means AA will only homer once, not 2 or 3 times.

I noticed Aquino (and a couple other guys including Winker I think) have at least one finger below the knob on the bat....is that common?

His MiLB stats are pretty good. I hated to see him included/wonder if he could have even been in the rotation mix for 2020.

It’s been that way for a bit. I forget who started doing it recently

Ever listen to it on the radio version of the commercial? Same script but he says it without a mouthful of beef.

It just sounds odd after being accustomed to the TV version.

A very nice idea by Bauer to try for a slide pick-up.

My guess would have been "not at start if 2020 but maybe later"

Thom....doesn’t matter Manny was hitting .145 of late because he was like 9/14 off of Bauer

I don’t think platoons are tinkering. I would like to see JVM get some ABs against LHP but Bell’s got a mandate to win games and that’s what he’s trying to do. One can’t really argue that starting a lefty over a LHP masher gives the Reds a better chance to win.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
