Sorry but it's just not going to happen. Reds aren't spending $11MM plus on an average-hitting MI.

if Iglesias and Galvis are back next season and have became very comfortable playing with each other, my guess is they will make some plays together that will be in the SC Top 10 more than a couple nights

I think it is a fair question, and I think they are ideal players to compare on several points.....they came up to the majors around the same time and they are of similar age. I can see them being compared to each other for a couple seasons.

Down the line sure, but it’s just really, really early though. And I said I don’t get the idea but that’s not entirely true because I kind of do, there’s always a rush by baseball fans to be among the first to declare that a hyped rookie isn’t actually as good as everyone said he’d be.

Down the line sure, but it’s just really, really early though. And I said I don’t get the idea but that’s not entirely true because I kind of do, there’s always a rush by baseball fans to be among the first to declare that a hyped rookie isn’t actually as good as everyone said he’d be.

Oh, I am 100% a Senzel fan....it was more of a suggestion that VanMeter may be as good in the box as someone that I think is and will be really solid in the box. It was not trying to diminish Senzel.

They may have come up at the same time and be about the same age, but Senzel had about 900 minor league AB and VanMeter had over 2200, so it could just be that VanMeter is a little bit more mature in his approach due to seeing all of those extra at bats before coming up.

What would be even worse is bringing them both back and also still having Peraza around and trying to force him into the lineup 3-4 times a week and taking at bats away from what should probably be a straight platoon of Winker/Ervin in LF all year.
